Gundlach Crushers have been sizing Potash in New Mexico and across Canada since 1967. So when world demand for potash boomed in 1997, Gundlach was their manufacturer of choice to test for the optimum crushing solutions at new potash mines.
Gundlach Crushers size potash ore on the wet side of the production process and size potash product on the compaction side of the plant. Gundlach's application knowledge and precision three dimensional crushers helped mines ramp up their output, while providing precise product size, maximized yield and minimum fines generation. Four models of Gundlach Crushers are used in sizing potash: the 4000 Series Roll Crusher for raw ore, the 2000 Roll Crusher Series for breaking flake from the compactor, the Cage-Paktor cage mill for polishing oversize material from the screens, and the Nanosiz-R roll mill, which is also used for polishing oversize material discharged from the screens.

Roll Crusher for Potash Raw Ore
4000 Series Roll Crusher: Single-Stage or Two-Stage
The Gundlach 4000 Series Roll Crushers demonstrate their superiority in sizing potash ore by producing high product uniformity with fewer fines.
Single-stage, two roll and two-stage, four roll crushers are employed in crushing potash ore. Rolls are available in 24" (610 mm) and 30" (762 mm) diameter with roll face up to 100" (2540 mm) wide.

Roll crusher for Breaking Flake from Potash Compactor
2000 Series Roll Crusher: Single-Stage or Two-Stage
The 2000 Series Roll Crushers are excellent for breaking potash flake from the compactor. This roll crusher not only breaks the potash flake but also sizes it.
Single-stage, two roll and two-stage, four roll crushers are used in breaking flake from the potash compactor. The 2000 Series crushers are available with 13-15" diameter rolls (330 mm to 380 mm) and roll face up to 60" (1525 mm) wide

Cage Mill Crusher for Sizing Oversize Potash Material Discharged from Screens
Cage-Paktor® 1C3R Cage Mill
The Cage-Paktor cage mill is used for polishing and sizing oversize material coming from the potash screens.
Gundlach's Cage-Paktor 1C3R is a compact single-shaft cage mill design, allowing easy access to the cages. This is just one example of the maintenance-friendly designs that are engineered into every Gundlach crusher.
Cage-Paktor Cage Mill Features and Benefits
- Sizes 100 mm feeds to 2 mm product
- Horsepower is required in direct proportion to the work required

Nanosiz-R® Roll Mill
The Nanosiz-R Roll Mill offers Bi-Modal (shear & compression) crushing performance.
Like the cage mill it is used for polishing oversize material coming from the potash screens.
